The customer experienced water damage that threatened a carpeted staircase and the surrounding hallway floor transitions. Immediate intervention was required to isolate the moisture migration, protect the multi-level layout of the property, and prevent permanent staining or mold growth within the carpet padding.
Fire Reconstruction Inc. installed heavy-duty plastic containment barriers and floor runners to isolate the work zone and protect unaffected areas. We then deployed commercial, low-profile centrifugal air movers at the base of the stairs and along structural thresholds, combined with industrial dehumidifiers, to rapidly dry the carpet fibers and subflooring layers.
