The customer experienced an overhead water leak—likely from a plumbing or HVAC line—that heavily saturated the drywall ceiling and insulation, causing a partial structure collapse near an active ceiling fan and vent.
Fire Reconstruction Inc. safely removed the collapsed textured drywall and wet insulation, making clean cuts to expose the ceiling joists for drying. After setting up environmental containment around the HVAC vents and running commercial equipment to dry out the framing, our technician verified with an Extech moisture meter that the ceiling had successfully returned to a safe dry standard of 3.7% RH, clearing the area for immediate reconstruction.
